Introduced At The Turn Of The 20Th Century, The 2-8-2 Was An Innovator Breaking From The Traditional Manufacturing Of Locomotives, And Featuring A Larger Firebox Paving The Way For Greater Speeds At A Higher Rate Of Power! Before We Knew It, The 2-8-2 Also Known As The “Mikado” Found Itself In Rail Yards Around The World From The United States To The Congo Hauling Freight From Stop To Stop. The Mikado Would Undergo A Temporary Name Change After The Pearl Harbor Bombing In 1941 Shortly Going By The Mcarthur, Before Eventually Going Back To The Mikado Name After Ww2.

This Item Has Been Graded Per Tca Standards C-7: Excellent. Both Ems Are In Excellent Shape With Only A Few Minor Cosmetic Blemishes. The Locomotive’S Railing Pieces Centered Around The Boiler Front Show Some Minor Nicks And Appear To Have Been Previously Re-Glued To The Body. The Tender’S Ladder Piece Is Just Slightly Bent, But Ca Be Re-Aligned With A Steady Hand. This Item Has Been Serviced By Our Repair Shop. Please See Picture For Service Details.
